Mental Health & Employment Partners

WWTW has created strategic partnerships with two not for profit organisations in the US who have both created transformational programs delivering mental health and education & employment support.

Home Base

Since their inception in 2009, Home Base, a partnership of the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital, has been breaking new ground, leading regional and national efforts with a multi-disciplinary team of experts working together to help Service Members, Veterans and their Families heal from the Invisible Wounds: traumatic brain injury (TBI), post-traumatic stress (PTS), and related conditions. By caring for Veterans in a family-based clinic, and by working in cooperation with the Veterans Administration (VA) and the Department of Defense.

Home Base services are specifically designed to overcome common barriers to care for returning Veterans. We provide care to all Veterans and Families, regardless of ability to pay or discharge status, and utilize a “three generation” model of care that extends to parents, children, and extended family members who are effectively integrated into care.

NextOp

Based in Houston, NextOp recruits, trains, and places high-performing middle-enlisted military leaders into Industry careers.

At NextOp, the vision is to be the strongest link between industry and military talent.  Their Employment Coordinators engage veterans one-on-one to help tailor their resumes, build their professional network, connect with mentors, prepare for interviews, and ultimately transition the valuable skills they have developed in the military into a rewarding and fulfilling civilian career.

They also work directly with employers, many of whom have a strong desire to recruit and retain veterans but have lacked the resources and knowledge of how to do so.  Currently NextOp partners with over 100 corporations to inform them on the veteran experience, create internal veteran resource groups, host workshops and ultimately bridge the gap between veterans and full employment.
